Revitalization:
The
Bed-Stuy Gateway Business District -
encompassing Fulton Street from
Franklin Avenue to Marcus Garvey
Boulevard, and Nostrand Avenue from
Halsey Street to Atlantic Avenue) is
Bedford-Stuyvesant’s primary
shopping and commercial district. With
Restoration Plaza at the heart of this
major shopping hub, Restoration is
deeply committed to revitalizing this
business district physically and
economically for the benefit of all of
the residents and visitors of Central
Brooklyn. Restoration partners closely
with the Fulton-Nostrand United
Merchants Association to promote local
businesses,
increase the diversity of retail
offerings, improve the appearance of
the physical storefronts and
streetscape, and to create a
sustainable mechanism for the
continued maintenance and upkeep of
the business district in the form of a
business improvement district.
