Restoration
is a catalyst for creating new jobs for
local residents, and for highlighting the
skills and resources our workforce has to
offer established employers.
The
Restoration
Information and Technology Education (RITE
Center) In the pursuit of urban,
community renewal, Restoration recognizes
the key role of workforce development. By
creating more jobs for local residents, all
parts of the employment continuum benefit,
from job seeker, to families, to employers.
The Restoration Information
and Technology Education (RITE) Center
offers free employment services. With a
staff of employment and program
coordinators, the RITE Center's provides
work readiness instruction and job placement
services. In Addition, the RITE Center's
Open Access area allows local youth and
adults access to computers to further their
skills in today's technology driven job
market.
For individual interested in
vocational, hard-skill training, Restoration
has partnered with Black Veterans for Social
Justice and the Brooklyn Adult Learning
Center to offer enrollment into programs
such as Security Officer Certification,
Culinary Arts, Web Design, Medical Billing,
A+ Computer Repair Certification, Microsoft
Office Suite, as well as ESL and GED
instruction.
