Chase Champions Communities

Thursday, January 7, 2010
In November, JP Morgan Chase executives presented Restoration President Colvin Grannum with a check for $175,000 to provide critical seed money as Restoration pursues three key initiatives in the year ahead. Building upon Restoration’s top ranked, 30-year old weatherization program, money will fuel a new business endeavor through which Restoration will triple the number of households served while creating jobs in the community, reducing energy costs and decreasing environmental emissions.

Funding will also enhance Restoration’s youth programming by providing intensive college prep and counseling for Central Brooklyn youth. Finally, support from JPMorgan Chase will enable Restoration to target individuals from the cradle to college with comprehensive services including academic enrichment and social supports to ensure they finish college and succeed. A steadfast partner in our mission to improve the lives of Central Brooklyn families, Restoration deeply appreciates JP Morgan Chase’s generosity and leadership. JPMorgan Chase Vice President Seth Edwards adds, "JP Morgan Chase is delighted to provide this support to Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation which has been a strong community partner of ours for many years."
