Except for a few rare exceptions every business venture should have a “Business Plan”. A written “Plan” that outlines the process as to how money and brains—either yours or someone else’s, or a combination of the two, are combined to make your venture a successful financial undertaking. The “Plan” should be a thoroughly prepared business concept explaining the growth of invested monies; the primary characters that are to make this growth happen; the marketplace; and, how this will all come together. As an entrepreneur one has to think through issues by documenting findings, goals, and strategies and of course bring all of this together in a written document.
A “Business Plan” is needed and necessary to persuade potential investors, and to inform management, that the business concept is viable. Hence, it must contain a lining of optimism regarding the success of the venture with the realities of the marketplace being taken into consideration. If possible, the thoughts contained in the “Plan” should be documented to inspire both optimism and confidence to the intended investors. Relating your plan to such factors as population growth, new technical breakthroughs and market surveys greatly enhances the credibility of the proposed business “Plan.”

5TH ANNUAL BED-STUY ALIVE! WEEK – EMBRACE OUR TREASURES
The Bed-Stuy Alive! Collective is proud to present the 5th Annual Bed-Stuy Alive! Week, which will run from Saturday, October 10th to Saturday, October 17th. The Collective includes the Bridge Street Development Corporation, Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Community Board 3, and the Brownstoners of Bedford-Stuyvesant, Inc. – all CIBS members. Other members of the Collective are Project 17, and the Central Brooklyn Community Services Corporation.
