Jennifer Jones Austin is 41, a Brooklyn native, a wife and mother of two children, ages 12 and 7. Jennifer has dedicated her life to public service as a civil rights lawyer and advocate for the homeless and as an executive of the United Way of New York City. She follows in the footsteps of her legendary father, Dr. William Augustus Jones, who was a longstanding pastor of Bethany Baptist Church in Brooklyn and a confidant of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. Jennifer is suffering from Leukemia, and is in an immediate need of a bone marrow transplant. Without a bone marrow transplant, doctors have indicated that her chances of survival are slim.
A bone marrow transplant requires a 100% compatible match. Because Jennifer is African American, her chance of finding a match is more difficult, since relatively few African American donors have been registered. So let us act now!
To help her and thousands of others, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SWIPE. That’s right! To find out if you are a bone marrow match, all you have to do is swipe the inner cheek with a cotton swab and that’s it. Once you are a match, you make the decision to donate. We will need your support and thank you in advance. Come by Restoration and SWIPE TO SAVE A LIFE!
