Restoration Operates Brooklyn Financial Empowerment Center

As part of Mayor Bloomberg's 18 initiatives to combat poverty in New York City, Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation has been selected to operate and manage one of five sites of the Financial Empowerment Centers to offer free low cost financial services in Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens with the fifth one opening in the fall (Staten Island). The center located in Restoration Plaza (1406 Fulton Street) offers free one-on-one counseling and financial coaching to all residents in money management, budgeting, financial planning, credit counseling, negotiating with creditors, finding affordable banking services, government benefit screenings and referrals to other services Stop in or call for an appointment at 718-230-4975.
