  The Partnership for a Healthier Brooklyn (The Partnership) at Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Partnerships to Improve Community Health (PICH) grant. The Partnership coordinates a borough-wide community coalition and supports community-driven activities to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequities in Brooklyn.

The newly released film Selma is a must-see. Selma chronicles Dr. King’s historic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in order to secure voting rights for black Americans. One of Restoration’s founding fathers, the late John Doar is depicted in the film as a champion of the Voting Rights Act in his role as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights under President Lyndon B.
