Ade Chike Torbert began his dance training at Restoration and became a member of the Restoration Dance Theatre Company. We were so proud of his brother Sekou, who joined the Broadway cast of Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk! And now, Ade continues the tradition of artistic excellence as one of the final ten contestants for the television show So You Think You Can Dance. Each week he will have to wow audiences and judges alike in a variety of dance styles as America votes to determine who will be the winner of a $250,000 prize. At Restoration, Ade is already a winner and makes us proud. Last week, the cameras came to his Bed-Stuy home to meet his family. We were delighted that his interview was held at Restoration where he shared many treasured memories of his development at the Youth Arts Academy.
