CAC Residency Program

A cultural anchor for Bedford Stuyvesant and Central Brooklyn, Restoration's institutional offerings extend beyond its own programs.

Through the CAC's Residency Program, Restoration provides its ample facilities and a supportive platform to small arts and cultural organizations and individual artists whose vision and offerings complement our own. Under the umbrella of the CAC, our residency program currently expands Restoration's offerings to include family-oriented theater productions, classical music instruction for youth, and access to professional choreographers and dancers.

Current Restoration Residents include:
  • Billie Holiday Theatre: Serving some 30,000 people annually for more than 30 years, the AUDELCO and Obie award-winning Billie Holiday Theatre has garnered a well-earned reputation for providing outstanding professional theater productions at affordable prices.
  • Noel Pointer Foundation: Carrying the namesake of famed jazzed violinist, Noel Pointer, the Noel Pointer Foundation provides string, piano, and theory instruction to students through in-curricular, extra curricular, Saturday and summer music programs.
  • Choreoquest: The CAC's dance residency program which provides emerging and accomplished choreographers the opportunity to create, develop and present new works while providing master-level instruction and mentorship to Youth Arts Academy dance students and studio showcases for the general public.
  • Brooklyn Youth Chorus- The Grammy® award-winning Brooklyn Youth Chorus is acclaimed for its beauty of sound and collaborations with leading orchestras and artists of all genres.
