The purpose of insurance is to protect against the risk of an unwanted outcome. Car insurance helps us to protect against injury from an accident and to repair the car. But when we think about our family, there are many risks we don’t protect against. Why do we purchase care insurance yet don’t purchase life, disability or long-term care insurance for our family and loved ones? In this workshop, we explore different types of insurance and why it may be smart to have protection.
