As part of the Raise the Age Initiative, NYC’s Administration for Children’s Services is looking to hire over 600 Youth Development Specialists. This is part of an ongoing recruitment effort running into 2023, and is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in developing a career working with juveniles. Not only is this a great way to start working for the city with a starting salary of $47,393 plus OT, salary increases, and longevity bonuses, but those hired as Youth Development Specialists are eligible for excellent benefit plans through the city. There’s also the opportunity for career growth, as candidates are able to work their way up to several promotional levels in the future. 

Working as a Youth Development Specialist offers: 

• Starting salary is $47,393 and after 5 years salary goes up to approximately $62,138*
